I've Won Something - Yes! Me!
I've just checked my mail and seen that one of my designs got chosen to be in the special Moo Laptop Stickers book. I totally missed the notification on the Moo group but it's there, on the 6th of May - I could have been excited so much earlier!
I'm quite chuffed as after submitting my entries I reread the criteria and I wasn't sure my text based designs were quite what they were after.
Thanks to all the people who voted for my design and gratz to everyone who got a design chosen. Commiserations to the rest - there were some great designs there.
Best thing for me though? It means I have won a Flickr Pro account for a year - something which doesn't cost much, but which I couldn't justify spending out on. Camera practice, here I come!
(BTW - tut Julien for not BCC'ing the emails of everyone on the second email!)
My winner - one of 90 designs chosen
The other two designs I submitted

Dunno if you're aware: Flickr Pro now allows short videos - which maintain MUCH higher quality than YouTube.
Thanks Leenda :o)
I've won three other things in my life:
a Mars Bar for doing a mega wordsearch when I was 11 - I was so embarrassed about having to get up to collect in in front of everyone that I said I didn't like them and almost threw it at someone else instead of giving it. ( I so know why I can't be mad at H when she's like that now!)
a tin of Danish Butter Cookies (which I loathe) in a school raffle - I gave them to my Nana for Christmas.
I've never placed a bet in my life. KT said that this year I had to as it's tradition in his family to put a bet on the Grand National and that he would pay for a £5 bet in my name. If it lost, no probs. If it won, he just wanted the fiver back. I looked over his shoulder and chose the name that seemed most like me. I then found out I could have a free £25 bet with a betting site so did that with the same horse. We were driving back from Northampton when we were listening to the Grand National and my horse, Comply or Die came in as the winner - I'd won £300 which I am still considering how to best spend. I'm stopping there at 100% success rate.
The video thing is cool, thanks - I've got a few camera videos I think I would like to share with family :o)
