QotD: Such A Klutz
What's the most klutzy thing you've ever done?

I am always doing clumsy things.
I slipped climbing a fence at my auntie's house when I was 7 or so and got a chestful of splinters. It took my mother hours to fish them all out of me.
When the boys were little, I managed to stand on a triangular shavehook the day before we went on a family cup/beaver camp. It went right through to the bone and left a great big hole in my foot. We still went to camp, and although I didn't join in with any of the running races, I did join in the Tug o' War, albeit standing on one foot.
Two weeks back, the kids were fighting as I was trying to get their tea sorted, and being stressed, I managed to bring the bread knife down on my finger. It's incredibly sharp, so I was lucky I only cut through the pink of my nail and not the end of my finger.
Normally I wear two rings; a silver one that matches KT's and a gold signet ring I stole swapped him the first time we met. The house I am renting has narrow doorways and elaborate doorhandles that have thin little sticky out bumps on the pivot. Well, last week, I managed to get one of the rings caught under the bump on the bathroom door handle as I was closing it and, with quite a jolt, I cut my finger. I took the ring off immediately, which was a good job as within five minutes my whole finger was swollen. It's still a little painful at the base now but I know I was lucky - the kids' dad jumped off the roof of a van (yeah, I know) when I was pregnant with number one son and almost completely ripped his finger off when his ring got caught on the guttering. He had to go to Stoke Mandeville to get everything sewn back right.
I have so many stories like this - I am a completely clumsy idiot!
