Role Reversal Twins

Wow ... isn't it amazing, the cycles that people go through to get to their true selves?

*hugs*
Thanks for the hugs, Devyl - sometimes it's just what you need!

Their brothers have been through their grumps and come out okay, so I am hopeful that she's going to be okay too - it's just I had a dream last night that she came home reeking of fags, with make-up smeared all over her face. I really hope she comes back pretty much the fun person she was and still can be.
It's a strange job being a parent. You really have to learn to just roll with it. I think the most important thing is to not take it personally. When they lash out and give you those withering looks it's becuase she knows she can do it to you in safety. We are the ones they can test all their moods and looks and tempers out on and know that we will still love them regardless. My kids are 20, 18 and 16 now and there have been days when I'd like to have gone to my room and stayed there until they left home but at the end of it all I love them all and they are great people and I think the most important things is to guide them not rule them. T
Thanks for the reply, Cat. I've always tried to give them options and show them that there are consequences for their actions. They are pretty great kids - I'm just finding it hard to cope with J's mood swings. I totally understand the wanting to go to your room thing though!
Hang in there! They just need room to grow! Unfortunately, it has to be in your garden!!
